Rest well, Joe Dressner

I am so sorry. I liked Joe very much and greatly enjoyed my few meals with him. His absence from here and elsewhere will be felt acutely. I don't know his family - but I know you, Robert, and I'm very sorry for your loss.
 
Condolences to his family and friends. I never knew him, but he and his colleagues did more to improve the quality of my wine-drinking life than anyone else out there.
 
De-lurking to offer my most sincere condolences to Mr. Dressner's family and friends.

Mr. Dressner's work changed how I think about wine and, as a result, how I think about and live my life. Thanks, Mr. Dressner.

Very sad news. I met Joe fifteen years ago right about this time when he had just returned from his summer trip to France and I was working with Doghead at Garnet. David Lillie introduced us and we were friends ever since. He just turned 60 a couple of days ago, at least it was on September 15th ten years ago that a bunch of us here celebrated his 50th birthday.

Rest easy, my friend. My sincerest condolences to Denyse, his kids and his whole family of vigneron and co-workers.
 
RIP. The world needs more people like Joe who have unwavering integrity and stand up for their beliefs. My condolences to his immediate and larger wine world family.
 
This is such sad news. I'm going to miss reading his humorous and intelligent posts. My condolences to his family and friends.

Though it is terrible he has passed, he has left, in his family, in his friends, and in the wines he discovered and brought to the US, an enduring legacy that will live on.
