A Geek is Born

Felicitações, you young whippersnapper! Best wishes to Marcia and the youngster. Get some sleep when you can.

Alas, we had to forego natural because the latitude (23) was not conducive, despite the usual attempt to compensate with altitude (760m); in other words, we had to intervene (c-section). Selection was massale, so extraction was not cryo; ripeness was good, without supermaturity. The final result was sweet, but we didn't acidify. At this stage of maturity lactic notes abound (surprising, given the age of of the wood). Somewhat reminiscent of Bdx, but we don't anticipate a dumb phase. Last I heard, Joe and Rogov were squabbling over reincarnation rights (oddly enough, there were no Palestinian candidates). Something like that. Thank'y'all!

Yes, wonderful. Best to Marcia, you and to young Andre. Glad they are doing well. (And I bet your daughter is thrilled to have a baby brother.)

She's thrilled indeed, and I am very relieved to know that she will have a close family connection after we depart for the great jeebus in the sky. With families becoming smaller and people having/adopting children later, it's scary to some older parents to know that they won't be around as much to meddle in their children's adult lives. One more reason to keep going to the gym.
