1970 Pape Clement

Yule Kim

Yule Kim
Really enjoyable. It still had lively acidity and the tannins seemed more or less resolved, with just a bare hint of bitterness on the finish. Weightless on the palate yet intensely flavorful: tart, mineral, and woodsy (not woody, oaky, or vanilla). No froot or fumes. Can't ask for too much more (especially at the low tariff I paid for this).

Nice with broiled lamb shoulder chops, polenta, sauteed mushrooms, and roasted butternut squash.

Sic transit gloria mundi

Again with this Gloria Mundi person barfing in the subway. What does she have to do with anything?

She drank too much 2003 Pape Clement after failing to flip her cases at auction
