Whoa, check it out. Never have seen this, even in Nicole's cellars. Interesting, not outstanding, but so cool you have to love it. Just off the boat so possibly a bit disrupted.

Been drinking a lot of cheaper sparkling these days, and it is pretty hard to top the Vouvray big boys. Impossible, in fact.

Try Germany. Some pretty good alternatives. For something a little kinky the Dr. Becker Scheurenbe Sekt for $20 is cool. I have heard very good things about the Lauer Sekt at Chambers.

Just had the Lauer last night. It was lovely.
 
Is the Dr. Becker Scheurebe Sekt even imported into the USA anymore? If so by whom? I miss that wine. Gysler made a great Scheu Sekt as well, but haven't seen it for years.
 
Enjoying an A et M Quenard tonight...quite nice, classic.

I group Chidaine in with Pinon and Foreau and Huet.
