any bargains here?

It's a really old-fashioned, Parkerized list: click

But there are some goodies among the over-extracted dreck: some of the Volnay, the Germans, maybe Calon-Segur.

Anybody see any others? (I may eat here tomorrow, on someone else's dime.)

if it's still there, 2002 D'Angerville Champans. But order it off the regular list because it's $10 cheaper.

Bear in mind the list is three years old.
Yes, I know. Probably some of the goodies here have been picked already, but it's a big list (and I think the clientele know a lot more about banking than they do about wine).

Apologies to the bankers hereabouts.

I've only been once or twice (and aren't they occupied anyway?), but you could maybe drink a Dashe.

And how big is their dime?

If they do indeed have old vintages of Brundlmayer, that could be good.

On someone else's dime, the '64 Ausone could be pretty cool.

Huh. Mag of '87 Mayacamas for $375.

I could cheerfully spend that many of someone else's dimes.

That's most open-minded of you, old thing.

I suspect the dimes don't run into much more than the low thousands. It's a salesperson's expense account but it is a salesperson from my own company, where my brother is the Controller. So, I can't be too, too naughty.

99 Lignier Chaffots, 02 Roumier Bussiere (hoping it's not bretty), 99 Cathiard Suchots, 02 Grivot Boudots, the d'Angerville and Bitouzet Volnays, 99 Gaunoux Rugiens, the 88 & 90 Gaunoux Clos des Chenes caught my eye for various reasons. I don't know the expected pricing on the vintage ports but some looked quite interesting. The Madeira didn't seem particularly well priced.

pricing seemed all over the place. definite bargains and lots of not so.

1975 Haut Brion at $450 off a list is a steal. 1990 Beaucastel- CDP at $250 is a good deal.

75 HB... Remember Oleg's b-day ?

Jeff, the vibrations you will feel through your chair as you dine at Harry's are caused by nothing other than the subway. No need to panic. On the other hand, I wonder what those vibrations at such regular intervals have been doing to the wines in their cellar over the last few decades...

'87 Mayacamas from mag surely too young? Stealing, I expect from a banker, but baby-killing?
Serious? Yes, Mayacamas is long-lived, and '87 would be around when they were doing their best work - but still and all wouldn't it more likely be just about almost fully ready.

Though, really, I'm with Joe : you have multiple Dashe choices. Why worry?
