Never underestimate the potential of flyover country residents, Nathan. As part of my misspent youth, I spent two summers working on ranches. Firearm training was part of the package, but that mostly involved rifles of various calibers. Since that time, I've had the chance to shoot off a few rounds of a service revolver (.357) and managed not only to avoid putting a bullet into myself but to hit the target. My hearing, OTOH, has never recovered from the experience.
