Split Pie Concept

Okay, that's sort of hilarious in it surprisingly tempting way.

I tried the Cooks Illustrated version of precooking the apples for apple pie before baking the pie and can't say that I really cared for the texture of the filling. But the bottom crust certainly didn't get soaked.
 
Or, you could jump to a conclusion and just make one pie:
