sneaking into town

I could probably do the 7th (just for you Steve!) although the 8th is my one absolute no-go.

Not that it matters since it looks like you're coalescing around the 7th.

Sharon it would be great to see you; I think last time was quite some time back. Salil mentioned Tribeca Grill to me; anyone have any other thoughts?

Sharon, what is the name of the Italian place with corkage free Mondays about which we were comparing notes?

Ciano would indeed be a great pick for the Monday.

Ciano has corkage free Mondays?!? Somebody needs to tell me these things.

I eat at Hearth a lot when I'm in town, and like it quite a lot, but would love to try Ciano, just because I've never been. (I think Salil mentioned Tribeca because of it's BYO friendly.)

pretty good food, top notch service, proper stemware, attractive atmosphere.

That could double as a "nice restaurant"!

In all seriousness, it sounds like a fine plan. I look forward to seeing this into reality.

i'm sure it is, as the wine list has many nice options. however, the cost saving possibilities of monday nights has so far brought me there on only byo nights...

So for Monday 11/7, we have a reservation at Ciano for 10 at 7:30 pm.

In right now:

Jay
Jeff

Salil

They'll provide stemware, 2 per person - should be getting confirmations re. that and a 4 course prix fixe today or tomorrow.

also, let me know what type of stemware they'll provide if you have that inforamtion. I might bring something to fill in if, for example, it's only Bordeaux stems.
