The million dollar question of the day

On a related note... a cheerful tidbit from Scott Labs (anyone who looks at the Twitter link will know how I got to this):

Q: Is lysozyme approved for use in products labeled “Organic”or “Made with Organic Grapes”?
A: Yes! Egg white lysozyme, under 7 CFR pt. 205.605a, can now be used as an ingredient in wines labeled “Organic” or “Made with Organic Grapes.”

Try clicking Jeff's link. It'll explain itself.

I feel like someone dosed my coffee with E reading that twit just now......and speaking of E....Eden does a much better job. At least the guy/dude/him/her/it likes malvasia. I'll give him/her/it that.

It's on Twitter, you know.

So that's a twitter. Thanks, I had no idea of what is being referenced.

So one clue is the reference to a Healdsburg bakery. Until that I was suspecting Eden.

As it happens, I've been to that bakery and like @hipstervigneron am also opposed to their "no ham and cheese croissant" policy. It sucks, because it's difficult to get a good croissant anyway and for the extra buck or two you'd get the ham and cheese that covers up the texture of the croissant. Not that it matter much because they usually heat them up for you in a microwave, leaving a soggy, oily mess of a croissant leaking away in the bag and getting all over the rental car seat when you set the bag down as you try to fit the coffee cup into the cupholder of the minivan they gave you because they ran out of Priuses (Priui?) at the Oakland airport because they'd all been rented by people flying into town to meet up with Steve Heimoff to attend the Occupy Oakland riots. FWIW, the Dry Creek Store is more enlightened about such matters and isn't too bad to navigate in the early morning hours before the tourists arrive. Or you can avoid the whole oily-as-Libya-on-the-front-seat by just ordering a muffin drinking your coffee before you get in the minivan.

And hipstervig, who is @Jeff_Brinkman and why does he wear those shirts to wine events? Honestly, if I had synaesthesia I'd be deaf by now.

-Eden (and I've got nothing to do with http://dearwinebuyer.com/ either)

Mediocre croissants, microwaved with equally bad ham and "cheese" slices, deserve a pedestal in the Bad Food Hall of Shame. Probably in the same wing as packaged Danish.
