'99 Ar. Pe. Pe. Sassella Rocce Rosse. Great rainy night wine. Fantastic nose with roses, porcini and sottobosco. Just enough on the palate to carry the wine but the nose is where it's at. Delicious with pasta and a hair more density would make it even better. But that's a quibble. Fun stuff.

No, they don't. They used to back in the Arturo Pelizzatti-days. Recently had a '69 sforzato and a '64 Grumello Sassorosso. The Sforzato was too volatile, as I find all older sforzatos. The Grumello was darn fantastic stuff.
