Prum Spatlese as aperitif??

Did you purposefully leave Adam off that list?

Yes. I wasn't adequately bribed.

(But as David said, the prices have gone up considerably in the last couple of years, and as far as his 2010s go, there were other producers whose wines I enjoyed more.)

Maureen, Thanks! I got some. And I found it elsewhere at a better price.

2010 Adam Kabinett is running $29.99 according to Winesearcher.

Yep, that's about a 50% markup over what I paid for the '09s, and I'm not exactly clambering to increase my holdings of '10s (not that there's anything wrong with the vintage per se).

I'm just about done with my stash of '87 Prum Auslesen (the Moselschild off Urzig still has some, as does Weinhaus Porn in Bernkastel). Why would anyone want to drink a 4 year old Prum, regardless of pradikat? Might as well go chew on some sulfured grapes.

In my case it is well suited to the audience and the best selection I have on hand...and also because my recollection is that it is tasty.
