The good news was that the '89 we brought to compare with the '88 was pretty glorious, albeit still way young.

I now do not feel nearly so badly about the non-Auction 2009 E. Muller Kabinett I dropped and smashed earlier this evening at CWS.
 
I accidentally knocked and smashed a 2002 Pavelot Pernand-Vergelesses Les Vergelesses a couple of weeks ago.

Needless to say, I was bummed (though at least it wasn't a Muller Schartzhofberger).
 
wow, kirk, what a shame - really puts that broken 05 truchot bourgogne on sunday into perspective (although truthfully I wasn't so bothered by it even without the comparison).

Right, and glad it wasn't your last bottle of his.

Maybe this is the start of a new thread? "The bottle I most regret seeing broken ...."
