NWR PSA: Authentic Sichuan Food in DC

The quality of the Jersey City location keeps going up and down at bewildering rate. They must go through chefs pretty quickly there. But even at its worst it's still the best Chinese in JC. Though my last tea smoked duck was unbearably salty.
 
Can't believe it's been 8 years, but I found myself in this spot as a new (daytime) denizen of 19th Street battling some kid germs and much in need of soup. Happy to report that the Soups of the Day have not changed in 8 years, nor have the pickled vegetables.
 
Are their any updates to this, besides the buffet-soup line?
Like to hear suggestions for DC Chinese restaurants.
