Oswaldo Costa

Oswaldo Costa
Drinking beautifully. No bretton, no woods, just grape, strawberry, church spicecake and forest floor. Tangy, with ethereal body and perfect acid/sweet balance. Marries the freshness of youth with the wisdom of middle age, with none of the later misanthropy.

I drank a great bottle of the '01 of this about a month back and it had a very similar profile. Straight out of the bottle it was very trousseau-like, but it gained a lot of weight in the glass and had the same spice and forest thing. No problem on day 2 - we should all be so lucky to hold up this way in middle-age...
