'85 Veuve Clicquot Rose was really singing.....
'98 Chave Hermitage Rouge was amazing with rack of elk and veal sweatbreads...the best showing I have had with this wine...finished the bottle tonight...amazingly good

There was a time when mags of 85 Veuve Rosé were readily obtainable around here for not so much money. It was kind of the house wine at the shop that employed me. I haven't tated it for quite some time but I'm not surprised that it's still showing well. That was definitely back when Veuve Cliquot was more than a brand.

yep, I think 85 was the last pink that I really liked from them. The 88 might have been OK.
