We made a very nice dinner at the tgjp in Paris with Gail & Jonathan, last wednesday with seven Roussillon from Clos du Rouge Gorge & a Saumur La tour Grise

Most of Pierre-Alain's report may be believed in implicitly. It goes without saying, however, that I would have objected to the inclusion of a character from a pleasurable but minor de Maupassant novel in a list that included characters from Madame Bovary, Sentimental Education and the Charterhouse of Parma. I am honored by the theme of Surveiller et Punir given to the evening, but, I felt neither watched over nor punished. We both had a great time.

I think I liked the 08 better than others, but otherwise sign on to PABs notes.
