2010 CRB Pif

Salil Benegal

Salil Benegal
So, so good right now. Drinking and holding (and wishing I had bought more, but at least I've held off the Gamay and my '09s for some more time.)

Salil, Please advise as to what your acronyms/abbreviations mean. CRB? Pif?

Thanks!

The first rule about Clos Roche Blanche is...
That's it CSW will put you CRB allocations on Overnoy levels.

They are out of control. In order to get a Pif allocation, I had to buy across the range - L'Arpent Rouge and Gamay included.

At least they spared you the Sauvignon #2.

They didn't. But I was able to turn it over at auction, despite funny font on the label.

Not quite. But I do have a picture of the dog somewhere.

CRB = Clos Roche Blanche

Pif is not an abbreviation. It is the name of a cuvee that Clos Roche Blanche produces (I believe a blend of Cabernet Franc and Malbec). It is named after the dog of the owners of Clos Roche Blanche.

Kirk, Let's see now!

Googling "CRB" gets us...

Commodity Research Bureau
Council of Real Estate Brokerage
Criminal Records Bureau
CRB Band -- a Houston-area band
Country Radio Broadcasters
Copyright Royalty Board
Church at Rancho Bernardo
Contractors' Registration Board
Citrus Research Board
.
.
.

Questionable usefulness!

A search within wine disorder does a bit better. "CRB+wine" brings it up on the first page in google.
