Marcel Deiss Riesling '08 --
Light yellow.
Shy bouquet, some petrol, pale citrus fruits.
Medium body, medium acid, medium complex, ample fruit back bone, quite food friendly (perhaps even better with food than without).
Moderate length/equipped finish. [VG - E]

Served with Roast Cornish Hen, Crispy Okra Salad (a la Suvir)...

And the Riesling also worked nicely with the chocolate/chocolate chip cookie after dinner!!

Is it dry or does it follow the tendency of much of his other wines to have quite a bit of RS?

his base (varietal) bottlings tend to be dry or close to dry. as the pedigree goes up, so does the rs.

Thanks. My experience with the Alsace 2008 and the Pinot Blanc '08 have been that even though they have less RS than the 1er and Grand Crus is that they fall in the tendre range of the spectrum.
