Hopefully it's just my case of wine but the last 2 out of 3 bottles of 08 T. La Baille Buster that I have tried had the tell tale smell of sherry. Yep, pre mox. Anyone else have any problems?

i waltzed through a case of the 2005 and it went from sublime to really good. polished it of by probably in 2009.

That one I thought normal, especially given that 2000 wasn't a particularly strong vintage.
For my 2002 I had a half case. In the same time period some were gorgeous and some were shot.

My feeling is it's how these wines develop. Early experiments aging these wines led to a lot of bottles that tasted mostly of pine resin. Some leaned towards cherry pit. Now I just drink them young.

That this bottle was showing advanced but not necessarily (though possibly) more advanced than one would expect from an 11 year old Sancerre from a not particularly strong vintage. I still enjoyed it which I couldn't say for the intermittent bottles of apple cider I had in my half case of 2002 about 4 years ago.
