Savennières Roche aux Moines Cuvée de l'Avant 2005 from Ch“teau de Chamboureau is on sale here at Delhaize supermarkets at the discounted price of approx 60 EUR (c.$80) for 6. Three or four years ago I picked up a half dozen of the 2002 in a similar deal and am very pleased with them. However I had a chance to try the wine first which is not the case with this 2005, a generally richer but less lively vintage, I think.
2005 was, I think, the last vintage of Soulez before the sale to Domaine FL and the introduction of Bordelais expertise and prices !!
