2004 Clos Roche Blanche, Côt, Touraine, alc 12%....a bit gamey/barnyard when first opened with a muted palate...over 2 hrs the nose becomes leather and pepper and the palate develops several interesting layers of fruit and spice...still a bit tannic on the finish (even after 2+ hrs).....really nice with upside potential remaining...

I drank my last bottle three years ago already. It was so fabulous already at the time that I have slapped myself early and often in the interim years for not securing more.

This sounds like what I'd expect at this point. Someone (Slaton?) said a number of years ago that it was already drinking well so I opened one of my three. For my palate a mistake.

I'm still waiting for the magic 15 year mark. If it works for Rhones it must work for Côt.
