2006 Tete Clos du Fief

Maybe I opened this a little early but it is an excellent wine nevertheless. Strong acidity and beautiful balance - nothing stands out so you can pick your own descriptors, but for me it was smokey, meaty and minerally, with a very brief note of banana pound cake. Long long finish. Great stuff.

I drink a lot of the 2006 Tete Julienas.

I think you should bust into some 2005 Prestige. The 2007s are on the way, that seems an appropriate time to get started.

How about the '05 Clos du Fief?
