A bunch of blind wines as a tribute to Joe Dressner

Terre de Vertus released between 2006 and 2008 ? Let me taste something better. I am waiting.

But it's so Vertus.

(It's not what I like from them (VV de Cramant is), but it is very terroir-driven, if I may use that barfy expression.)

My point is that most Champagne is not worth the enormous premium over good bubbly Vouvray.

I wouldn't compare them, they both have a place on our table.
Wife made a lobster bisque a couple of weeks ago, served with 96 Bollinger Grand Anee. Needed the aged champagne, not vouvray in this case.

From Larmandier-Bernier, from Vertus or from Champagne?

I don't care where it comes from in Champagne, but I suspect you will tell me it has to be Vertus if I am to look for that style.

No, I was seriously asking if you meant that that was what you liked best and trying to widen the scope as large as it would widen to fit the appropriate data set to include.

However, if that is your apex, I might suggest a couple of other things—which we may have had the pleasure of drinking together—that could give it a run for its money.
