WINES:
Billecart-Salmon Champagne Brut Rosé NV -- Orange yellow, surprisingly robust bouquet, bread, tart fruits, almost silky texture, finesseful complexity, reliably excellent. [E]
Stewart Cellars Pinot Noir '00 -- Dark red. Dark cherries/raspberries, light oak, cinnamon spices, some earth, dense profile, smooth texture, balanced acidity, solid fruit. [E]
E. Guigal Condrieu '09 -- Straw yellow, complex light bouquet, yellow fruits including apricot, full body, medium rich, refreshing acidity, light vanilla, medium fruit, very food friendly. [E]
Antinori Tignanello 2004 -- Dark red, cherries/blackberries, herbaceous notes, smoke, full and youthful on palate, lots going on in an integrated fashion, nice balance, blueberries. [E]
Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou '1989 -- Dark red, currants, hint of volatile acidity, tobacco, cedar, not a lot of staying power, soft tannins surprisingly evolved, maybe some leather. [VG - E]
Chateau Rieussec '89 -- Dark gold, caramel, honey, citrus notes, dense texture, almost (but not) cloying, quite complex, solid core of dried fruits, marvelous structure. [E]
