Bertrand Celce in Japan

This Japan tour has been great.

Sometimes I want to clean up the English translation but really, it's perfect exactly as is.

Bertrand Celce in JapanSome new photo essays in the land of the rising sun. Makes me ask what's become of Joel.

Joel?

I understand Joel's father just passed away from something Joel posted on Facebook today. I believe his father has not been well for some time, so perhaps Joel has been absent here for connected reasons.

Disorderly Grammarians, please help Oswaldo.

Aaargh, no excuses.

What, there's an error here? Facebook didn't kill him?

Wouldn't ambiguity be a style issue rather than a grammar issue?

I prefer to think of it as a stupidity issue.

Dad would appreciate the humor here....though averse to the digital world he was.

It's true, there was no post on FB that I made (nor that I know of) that killed him, AFAIK.

Anyway, Bertrand's monologues are always great, and yes, Japan is refreshingly out of step with the civilized world, for better and worse. I think pink and blue are important distinctions to make, at least at certain times of the day, and depending on one's blood alcohol level.
