So far my favorite 2007s have all been Volnays. I'll be trying a few more at the end of the month.

Savigny and Pernand here. Maybe there is a theme?
Good to hear as I just picked some up. The 04 (yes the 04) recently was a revelation.originally posted by VLM:
Best 2007 I've had
was M-G Fuesselottes. Delicious.

Haven't had the 07 but I agree with your assessment of the 04.

Mugneret Gibourg and Drouhin Petits Monts have become special occasion type wines.
I really enjoyed the 06 Rollin Pernand, I guess the 2007s here might be a place to start.

Opened a 2007 Lafarge Volnay 13.0% two nights ago that was lovely, classically balanced, a bit muted at first, then sang like a fat lady wallowing in a bed of pot-pourri. Last night, a 2008 C&C Marechal Volnay 13.0% was reduced, even after two rubbery hours in the decanter. Otherwise showed oddly modern, darkish and concentrated, even somewhat woody. At odds with the Louis/Dressner/CSW provenance. You wine some, you lose some.

AFAIK totally allowed, as long as you use Kosher sugar.o what biodynamics says about sugar additions; anyone?).
So is sulfur, as long as it's Wiccan. To close the circle, all we need now is their tartaric regimen.
