Mark Svereika Jeebus in D.C.

Also, I had an Anthill Farms Syrah earlier this week that was the absolute opposite of all that I normally expect from that variety grown in that place.

I haven't had the Chaupoin in years. It's gotten very pricey. But I've had their regular cuvee. They have gone over to a much riper style than the wine from the 90s. They aren't Cambie wines by any means. But not one I'd seek out anymore. The 90 that Cole brought was lovely, though.

Talia Baiocchi did a great feature on the whole Anderson Valley in last month's Wine and Spirits. The winemaker is included in the piece.

I just tasted all three of his single-vineyard Pinots at IPOB this last week in NYC. I mean, they're juicy, but with great cut and real mushroom-y pinosity. I've never had the Syrah.
