'02 L-P Excelsior

drssouth

Stephen South
2002 Pierre Luneau-Papin Excelsior, Alc 12.5%....nose is a bit subdued....palate is sl tart but more dense than many other L-P Muscadets....it has lemon rind and a hint of orange....finish is sharp....
Seems to be very young and in need of considerable more time in the bottle

I am guessing that he means Clos des Noelles.
I don't think so
"regular" Burgundy bottle, cream colored embossed label

Sounds consistent with Clos des Noelles. Was there a neck label? The only place that my bottles of 02 say Clos des Noelles is on the neck label, in script.

Ah...upon further inspection there is indeed a hard to read green script that reads Clos des Noelles on the neck...

That is a biodynamic ink made from hand-gathered nettle and elder leaves, mixed only by moonlight, and scribed using a lark's quill pen.
