I am having difficulty parsing the meaning of this.
I am thanking anyone for info in advance of when they may post that info.

Has anyone tasted the 2010s in particular. I thought that wine magnet Brad K. had the skinny on everything wine.

Dressner brings these in?
They have been added to Dressner's portfolio, just in the last few months. Have you tasted the 2010s?

On the west coast they are Farm Wine Imports direct, so not part of the Dressner portfolio (but under the same company that handles Dressner).

I sell the Chavignol which I think is a great value.

Not that it is of world importance but Farm Wine Imports is a company that Joe formed with a couple of other people here on the West coast. Not exactly the same inventory as New York because of various prior commitments by various wineries etc.
Did you taste any of their higher end Sancerres?

This is next to useless, but I've liked Boulay wines a lot in the past and I haven't had a 2010 from top guys in Sancerre that I didn't like.

So I would be optimistic.

And I promise to buy everything on closeout if I'm wrong.

Yes, I know Joe was an investor but not necessarily an "owner" of the company. I'm not privy to the full details of the partnership, but I do know that the back labels of the Boulay wines say Farm Wine Imports and not Louis/Dressner.

Most of the higher end wines were gone before any sample bottles were opened so I didn't have the chance to taste them.

That's nice to know because there is a gold placard hanging in our store that reads "In memory of the Lou Kessler Austrian debacle"

I haven't had the 2010's from Boulay, but I've had the wines in the past and really liked them, especially the higher end ones. The Clos de Beaujeu most notably is fantastic and ages exceptionally well--we drank a 1997 earlier this year that was a dream.

The wines are riper than some but always have good freshness and minerality to them. You never forget they're from Chavignol and you can tell they're made from really high quality raw material.

Believe me he was more than just an investor. The important thing is to sell more Farm Wine Imports. He meant a great deal more to many people on this board than just someone involved in the wine business.

Joe's busier at work in the great beyond than he ever was on this plane.

Probably due to the spotty internet in the hereafter. My understanding is Mona Moore has been very busy with her Ouija board these days.

I am sure I've been accused of many things -- to my face or otherwise -- but one thing I've never been accused of is going light on either the L/D or Farm portfolios!

You were just a little bit ahead of your time, Lou.
