Almost a greenish-gold color, with a protein haze adding a cloudy dimension. Nose of green mint tea ice cream with a touch of tarragon, somewhat subdued but very nice. Herbal yellow-fruited palate, with a slight jalapeno seed-caraway finish. Interesting and in my wheelhouse, but acidity is on the softer side, pleasant but yet lacking a little in dimension. B+/A-

just met pax yesterday and got to taste a number of his wines. his '11 Trousseau Gris and '10 Pinot Gris are both fantastic. the Pinot Gris is a beautiful rusty color with exotic melon and herbal tones to it. definitely worth seeking out.

both hit the spot on a 99 degree day

I liked the '10 Trousseau Gris a lot. Cool, geeky wine.
I loved the '09 that Jim Hanlon brought to a jeeb in Oakland a few years ago (and I still have a bottle in the dungeon). Wild, wacky shit.. in a good way.
