How was the '96 Chave? I gather that it was strikingly different from the "fabuloso" '97 (which was good to see because I have it too), but in what ways?

The Debut Presse was if anything a tad better 2 nights later.

For me the M was the big surprise of the night. I'd have guessed that it would have fallen apart by now but somehow the elephant is still proceeding gracefully across the high wire on a bicycle while trumpeting happily.

The Nigl was a treat and the Chaves were beautiful though given the choice I'd take the 1996 over the 1997.

Y'all have five and a half months to try and compete for the Most Accurate Tasting Note of the Year award, but you will likely fall short.
