Does the second stanza begin with "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn"?

I was talking with my daughter about the late Thomas Kinkade, and she pointed me to this
Kinkade Mashup.

I have known two different people in my life who had the collected works of Enver Hoxha on their home bookshelves.

One of them used to post here.

When I lived in SF Joe's home town in the distant past I used to see the "Stop the Railroading of Bob Avakian" signs and had some interactions with such folks.

There's a name I haven't seen in awhile.
What's up, Mike?
Best, Jim

Not a lot, just slowly emerging from several years of self-imposed exile from wine buying, and the related enablers of online wine discussion and visiting wine stores. I'm still not really buying much, but dexided that I have the discipline to talk about wine while maintaining a more responsible purchasing level.

It has been great to see so many old friends still around, though the venues have changed.

With the winemaking operation now going, do you still make it through ATL at alll? If so, we need to get together. pull some corks, and catch up.

Mike, was that you that posted something in Cellar Tracker about a bunch of Loire wines and then didn't include any notes in the body? If so, you should post them here!

Mike,
Not in Atlanta much; most of my time is in CA. Seldom go to NC anymore.
But we'd welcome you with open arms out here. We even have a guest bedroom.
And all the wine we drink is free!
The man who introduced me to Austrian wine and especially Gruner has a special place with us.
Best, Jim

That was me, Brad. The notes are still in progress, but I'm hoping to get them finished and posted here and in CT by tomorrow. This was my first time trying to use CT's event posting feature, and I didn't realize until after I started that I really needed to enter notes for each of the wines first . . . .

That said, one really great aspect of the tasting was that the common link among the attendees is the owner of a fairly new shop about 5 minutes from my house who primarily stocks LDM wines and wines of similar styles. The first time I went there, my jaw almost hit the floor in shock that, not only were so many of my favorites now available in Atlanta, they were convenient. The negative is Eric poses a huge threat to my recovery as a wine buying addict, though it is hard to get a cheaper, but potent, fix than buying LDM Loires, Beaujolais, etc.

Here is his home site.

He self-describes as a "web analytics and inbound marketing expert". He also says "I visualize code" but lists no significant programming language among his skills. Since he discusses his college courses, I assume he's a greenhorn.

And, for the record, Trend Micro says, of his website: "Trend Micro has confirmed that this website can transmit malicious software or has been involved in online scams or fraud."

That looks positively Lovecraftian.

I had no idea Cthulhu was Albanian, but it makes a lot of sense.

It was only recently discovered that Abdul mistranslated "spamming" as "dreaming".

Wow. It's no wonder he was mad. I'd be mad too, if I did that.

I think it was more the way those eerily batrachian Nigerians would keep knocking on his tent flap in the middle of the night offering him untold riches.
