I just have to share with y'all who know and care that I just found an absolutely mint Jaco Pastorius with early numbers in shrink for $10...and it sounds just so good.

For the rest of you, this is sort of like finding an 89 Foreau sec in the bargain bin for $10...or an 86 Verset...or some such...

I met him once (no big deal - I bet Eden partied with him). A close friend of mine had a friend who was dating Pete Erskine's dad (!) and so got us comps to a weather report concert - and we were invited backstage to hang out after.

What a brilliant musician - and sad story.

Yeah, brilliant score, Brad. I also have a Jaco story, having run into him in a Lower East Side bar late at night during his long downward sprial. Shocking and sad too see such a brilliant talent in such bad shape.

Oh, well.
