Hello,
We made a very nice dinner at the TGJP in Paris last friday with 7 Morgon 2009 (Desvignes, Foillard, Piron, Ch“teau des Jacques...) & 2 whites Loire 2008 (Antoine Foucault & Richard Leroy). see

Ask any questions on the forum and I will try to answer.

Sorry to hear these wines did not show better. I am curious to hear your thoughts on the evolution of Lenoir's 2004's. Have you had any recently?

Interesting selection of wines. I thought the 09 Chamonard was showing more or less well earlier this year but I believe I stopped drinking it in the spring time because it seemed to be offering less and less.

Not surprised the Corcelette showed so well, for my tastes the 09 CdP is also very delicious right now.

Most recent bottle was last weekend and of course it's still showing ripe and of course it has plenty more development to come. But if you're like me and are looking for delicious Morgon to drink, don't need to age everything, and find yourself in the mood for ripe Foillard, 09 will fit the bill.

I'd never drink Lenoir. In november, we will try the second flight (with Métras, Lapierre, Janin & Vissous).
About the 2009, I have cellared 48 bottles of Chamonard, Foillard (Py and Corcelettes) and Métras (Fleurie). I will drink half in the next years and try to keep the other half for 7/10 years.

Like Cliff, sorry to read such a poor general showing. I think this is the second time TGJP has found the 2009 Desvignes Morgons wanting, which is worrisome.

Why do you taste '09 Morgon now when it is almost certainly not "open for business" ?

I am not going anywhere near any of mine now, but I appreciate the sacrifice of others even as I am perplexed at their timing. Desvignes? I am not even drinking 200
