'04 Breton Bourgueil Franc du Pied

2004 Catherine & Pierre Breton Bourgueil Franc du Pied, Alc 12%, an LDS wine.....
Murky purplish red color...great "stinky" nose....intense on the palate with great balance and really quite open....great finish

I remember drinking this five years ago when I first moved to the Bay. It was good then too.

This was delicious on release.
My last bottle was refermenting and teeming with critters as well.

Anyone drink the 2010 recently? Had a taste on release and it was beautiful but I neglected to stock up.

Yes. I shared a bottle of the '10 with Fillay a couple weeks ago. It's the only Breton franc de pied I've had and was duly impressed. It had an amazing freshness to it, though I was surprised by how light and lithe on it's feet it was. I wasn't so sure it had it in it to make a long haul though. If I had any bottles at home, I don't think I'd have to worry about that though (it was too damn tasty).
