I sent him an email. His 'vacation responder' email begins with:

I am out of the office due to heart bypass surgery, and have not been cleared to return until November 8, 2012.

With some internet assistance, I find that he has had a bumpy ride but, as of Sep 8, is recovering well.

Zoot Allures! I have certainly done nothing to be worthy of a thread here. Yet.

Some vacation. CABG x 5, for those familiar with the nomenclature. Second chance surgery, for those who are not. Looking at the positive, I am drinking (and buying) better "everyday" bottles, even if there may be some infanticide occurring. Some Bachelet being delivered today, in fact. There is a concomitant change in perspective that a few others here will understand, I'm sure.
