This is the first truly convincing red Rhys I've had, and it was very convincing. Hard to believe it was the first vintage, made in a garage. Beautiful, layered aromatics. This is what SCM Pinot Noir should be. It had lovely red fruit with spicy overtones but none of the cola I find too often. It could have had more depth and density, but those are quibbles. Very satisfying.

Hard to say based on my one bottle -- I gather there is a lot of variation. Mine was clearly one of the good ones, and it had plenty of life left. I will be interested to see my remaining bottle in five years or so.
