My stepdaughter and son-in-law are leaving Singapore in 2 weeks after being based there for 2 years. They're returning to their home in SF. They have enough on their plate right now. Also, it would probably be a hassle to bring wine back.
Most of our trade is with restaurants, so we don't have a large private client base. And if you think about all the wines we had to airfreight in to replace this shipment at short notice, it wasn't a pretty financial situation (which resulted in other screw-ups: breaking the lease on a larger warehouse space, skipping two shipments of wine, and cancelling planned marketing/events). We also had to lawyer up, which was distinctly unpleasant.
But that's life, and our choice. Tant pis.

Fréd Lailler is doing most of the running now. The 2011 is very good, given the weather conditions, so I am optimistic.

As a client wryly commented, "Your wines were cooked for a shorter time than 99% of the wines sitting on retail shelves here."
There might still be hope for that bottle, and at least you've adjusted your expectations downwards (so there's only upside). Some wines are remarkably sturdy, and a refermenting bottle of '79 Joh. Jos. Prüm WS Auslese was one of the best wines I've had from my birthyear.
