The 2011 Poulsard VV is good wine, clean and correct. Some would criticize Tissot for overemphasizing clean and correct. But I would rather drink Tissot than quite a bit of what's being brought into NYC from the Jura these days.

Talking shit about Ganevat again....

2010 Ganevat L'enfant terrible was superb last night and not that I am an expert on Jura but it seemed clean and correct to me!

Speaking of superb, 2011 Balthazar cotes du Rhone....wow.

We seem to need a irony/joke indicator.

The facetiousness of the comment did not seem to preclude the reply?

My error. Apologies.

You are referring to Bornard? Do others tend to make very funky reds?
He does come to mind. But he is not the only funky guy in town these days.

Please elaborate. I happen to *like* Ganevat's wines, if this is what you're referring to.

Since I've found one person to share cases with me, I can now order two. What is Trousseau like? IIRC I have never tasted one. Is Tissot's Trousseau one that might be interesting to try?

I've had 2 vintages of the Singulier. One I liked a lot; the other less so.

'10 J'en Veux !!! is beautiful tonight. (Although, for balance, I have to report that Cornelisson's Contadino #9 (from CSW, not Garagiste) at lunch with pasta with puttanesca and a jar Ortiz bonito del norte was far superior; best Contadino I have had.)

This thread reminded me that I've had an '07 Trousseau Singulier hanging around the house that I've been eyeing for a while. Decided to open it tonight. It's way better than I had hoped for. On the level of 'shit, I really should be sharing this with others right now'. I know others have been saying clean and correct above, but mine is all sorts of wild, deep, dark, funky and still a bit tannic. Well, Merry Christmas early to me.
