Currently making plans for our first trip to NYC (woohoo!) in early March...for the circus that is La Paulee.

I was wondering if we could get a group together to do a wine dinner somewhere Wednesday the 6th? I have a tasting event from 5:30-7, so I guess we could be somewhere around 7:30-ish?

It would be really interesting to meet a bunch of you.

Yeah, put me down for 2.

Not sure which restaurants have good corkage policies on Wednesdays. A few of us have done some of these jeebs at Grand Sichuan which is pretty inexpensive and good about us bringing a ton of wine (only some of the food's spicy, there's a lot that's very red wine-friendly - Burgs and Rhones in particular, other dishes that work with Rieslings/sweeter whites). I figure others will have more suggestions...

Salil has a good suggestion with Grand Sichuan. If the group gets above say 10 people, we may want to think of an alternative plan.

Had a great meal at the Frank Cornelissen Dinner at Mandarin Court. They should be able to accommodate. That and it's just a short stagger to 10 Bells from there.

Mark, it will likely be just me. C will be getting ready to defend her dissertation, but as we get closer I will see whether she thinks she has time to join.
