2010 Montesecondo Chianti Classico

I will defer to Brezeme due to limited experience. I only tasted Montesecondo for the first time at the LDM tasting last Spring.

Has anyone had a chance to try them with any age yet? Seems like they would reward a decade or two.

Yes. I've had every vintage, some with 5-6 years of age. The 2005 and 2006 are beautiful right now.

Two decades seems a bit much to me, but 5-10 years seems to bring everything together.

I've had several bottles of the 10, rashly; should have saved them after the first one. Nice, better the second day. As Nathan suggests, would be better with moderate aging, in my humble judgement.

Loved the '06 from the get go. Wish I still had some. Killer wines from Silvio.

I don't know that anyone is making better CC to my palate, especially at the price.

I taste little CC, and like Montesecondo, but do you have any notion that the site might be a little warm?

It's on the northern end, IIRC, and don't think of it as warm, but I don't know for sure. Maybe we take a couple days in May?
