Uh, oh

I'm heading out again tonight!

Don't know what's up with Michigan but around here perch get pretty big. And pretty tasty. I'd go show 'em how it's done but I would probably fail the drug test due to steroid based asthma medication.

Nice perch, Kay! I see the operation went well for you.

From the article: "Ice fishing is not the only fringe sport that has embraced drug testing. Competitors in darts, miniature golf, chess and tug of war were all tested in recent years, according to the sports’ organizers and the World Anti-Doping Agency."

Tug-of-war makes sense. But chess? Really?

Ritalin?

Adderall, more likely.

Chess is more of a martial art. Karpov was suspected of using stimulants during his never-ending 1984 match with Kasparov, for example. But miniature golf?

One of the noticeable aspects of the story occurs, where it turns out that two miniature golfers out of 76 tested positive for drugs. I expect that that might represent the numbers of people who are taking them for valid health reasons (as Kay notes, for instance, asthma medication). I suppose it's possible that having a muscle bloated body or enhanced blood oxygen levels might help in miniature golf, though.
