I sampled the food pretty widely a couple nights ago. I think the cooking is excellent. Wine list is, as noted above, great and with many, many bargains. (but not the Roumiers -- perhaps not a shock, that.)

Can one make reservations or is this one of those obnoxious LES walk-in only places where you come in on a Thursday at 7pm and the hipster hostess, upon realizing you don't work in PR, fashion, or Kinfolk magazine, quotes you an hour and 45 minute wait for two people?
