Hi folks. Sorry for the late notice (or if this isn't the correct forum for posting this), but if any of you are in the LA area today (3/9/2013) I thought you might be interested to know we're hosting Arianna Occhipinti, Francesca Padovani & Elena Pantaleoni at the shop (Domaine LA) from 2PM to 5PM. They'll be showing some wines already in the market, and in the case of La Stoppa, a preview of things that have yet to hit LA.

Shouldn't that be "there is no wrong forum?" I believe the meaning of politburo pronunciamentos is that only spam in bad taste is disallowed. For "bad taste," see the thread wanderlust above on taste and subjective variation. Or alternatively, there is the Supreme Court dictum on obscenity, "I know it when I see it," an endlessly useful evasion, which I use regularly for purposes of aesthetic evaluation.

I'm sure the people Jill B. mentioned in her post are part of the group of winemakers who will be pouring for Dressner's Farm Wine Group this coming Tuesday in San Francisco. I'll be there accompanied by my faithful tasting companion JBL. For the edification of some old Disorder denizens JBL is alive and well in Berkeley. JBL since getting married a few years ago has become the consumate family man and has pretty much forgotten the importance of wine in the social order of the world. I will use some of the time Tuesday to attempt to get JBL get his priorities straight in life.
