really odd questionI find my self just south of st petersburg florida. Outside of berns in tampa, does anyone have any recs?

Please let me know if you find something. I am there occasionally to visit family and it seems the culinary pits.

For buying wine - B-21 always seems to have something worth buying - but it's in Tarpon Springs, which is a few miles north of St. Pete.

For eating - Chinese - ABC Seafood - in a strip mall. Pick a fish out of the tank. Love the eel with crispy backbone last time I was there.

Ted Peters for their smoked fish and smoked fish dip - the locals love the burger there too.

Taco Bus is supposed to have good tacos - if you are into the taco out of an old school bus thing.

A bit further north in Dunedin - go to Sam's Fresh Seafood for stone crabs - the owner goes fishing for them daily when in season.

I see that I should have asked here before....
Would have saved me some bad meals.
Ted's looks great.
You haven't been?

Burger is as good as anybody, smoked fish is unique and delicious, spread is good, German potato salad is unmatched and they have draft root beer.
Sit outside, eat, drink and live large while dressed in your swimsuit.
Beautiful.
Best, Jim

really kick-ass cantonese. shrimps with garlic, lobster with black bean sauce, crab with salt and pepper (all from the tank) were brilliant and as authentic as i've had in this country. peking duck sucked, but the beef with black pepper sauce was amazing.

and, byo!

thanks!!!
