This was served first, followed by the 2010 Texier Domaine Pergault Brezeme Vieilles Vignes. Great to have them side by side as they swapped flavor profiles as the night progressed. That certain je ne sais quoi grip, unctuousness, pop like poprocks in the mouth, that makes the St. Julien so compelling shut down as the night progressed and reappeared in the Brezeme. Both truly outstanding wines.
