Languedoc Representing

Lots of good suggestions so far. I'd also add Chateau La Roque. I've always really liked the Cuvee Mourvedre.

Yup, and most of Kermit's imports (of which La Roque is a member) tend to reliable choices from the region. I've never been impressed by Grange des Peres or Daumas Gassac, but I know fans of both.

Daumas Gassac from the 80s and 90s, both red and white, are pretty good. I don't feel as excited about recent vintages.
Grange des Peres is what it is. With age, it can be interesting.

Languedoc is so vast, everybody can certainly find something that he'll like at any price point and that's what cool about this region.

Does anyone have experiences with Domaine de Baruel? I was recently given two bottles by a friend who thought them too tannic. I thought I'd open one soon.

I had the '97 once; nothing special though it improved on the second day.
