Many bottles

Hirtzberger's sites are more or less Grand Cru. Nigl is tucked away up in Senftenberg, I don't expect them to go as far.

I don't really mind not getting 20 more years from them, but I had no anticipation that they would crash and burn with the goddamn pox, either.

. Was your experience vintage wide or just Nigl?
Best, Jim
Jim,
I haven't opened so many 2001s yet, drinking older wines now. So far , Just Nigl.

I've had the same issues with 1999 Nigl Privat riesling.

It will be interesting to see how the ones under screwcap age. Hopefully at least the pox will be avoided. Does anyone know what level of permeability they went for with their screwcaps?

got a couple of '99 Nigl's with your name on them...well not literally..those are other bottles in the cellar....
