Fun with wine flaws

2011 Maule Masieri was oddly viscous today, and at the end of the bottle it had linear suspended threads, ropiness. The viscosity is caused by long polysaccharides that tangle with each other as you stir, slowing the motion of the wine.

The wine shop where it was purchased has better A/C now than they did a few weeks ago, I hope that was the story.

May not be the shop. I had the same unusual viscosity in a bottle of 2011 masieri back in December. I had never experienced anything like that, and didn't really have a clue what it was at the time. I initially thought it was a limited issue (other bottles seemed fine at that point), but it appears that this is a "growing" problem, even under temperature control, and now all bottles are suspect.
