Paradigm shift

On the subject of ten year old Burgundies, a 2004 Clavelier Combe d'Orveaux was debonairly lovely last night. 05s probably can't be touched until they're 15, so I've been tempted to open some 04s, hoping they might be eligible sooner. This one said yes. There were some greenies, but at an attractively condimental level, like a hint of green twigs in your tea.
 
fingers crossed on the 96s.

fwiw, many 87s had "greenies" in their youth. after about 15 years or so, i'd have defied anyone to detect them.
